Welcome to Lombok!

Lombok is the most popular destination in Nusa Tenggara. A steady stream of sun soakers, divers and trekkers heads to Lombok for the beautiful beaches and underwater sights of the Gili islands, the beach resort town of Senggigi on the west coast, the big breaks of the south coast, and the dramatic summit of Gunung Rinjani. The island also offers a multitude of other attractions where tourists are still a relatively novelty-there pristine and almost untouched beaches in the southwest, stunning mountainous scenery in the east, and handricraft villages dotting the lush central plain.

• Climbing the challanging and majestic Mount Rinjani. Lombok's highest peak at 3726m

• Enjoying the white sand beaches, clear blue sea, chilled out atmosphere and nightlife of the Gili islands

• Exploring the scarcely developed southwest peninsula for its pristine, tranquil beaches - particularly at Gili Nanggu and Gede - and its 'secret' surf spot

• Watching sunsets over the Lombok straits from Senggigi and enjoying the area's sweeping bays, best seen along the coastal road to Bangsal.

• Shopping in the handicraft villages around Tetebatu and enjoying the lush scenery and rainforest walks.
